An artists proof before the Edition of 20, inscribed `Noah`s Cap for Manns` in pencil lower-left, signed in pencil by the artist lower-right. One of three prints from the series `The Drunkeness of Noah` inspired by an anonymous 14th Century statue in the Palazzo Ducale, Venice. The sculpture depicts Noah and his two sons, one laughing at him while the other tries to protect his dignity. The prints take this moment in Noah's tale as a starting point; followed by a sober Noah, a drunken Noah and ultimately a tragic Noah. In excellent condition, framed in black.
