Ogura Imitation of the Hundred Poets. The poem by Ariwara no Narihira Ason reads: `Unheard of, even in the age, of rock-crushing gods: Tatsuta River in scarlet, and the water flowing under it`. Kwaosho Roshishin, the ex-policeman, whilst drunk attacks one of the guardian statues of the Godaizan temple because he thinks it is mocking him. Roshishin was knicknamed Kwaosho, the `flower priest` because of the plum blossoms tattoed on his shoulders. Fine impression and colours. binding holes on the right, trimmed.
